These terms cover your use of Tinify.dev, including the free web tools and the API. Tinify.dev is an independent product built in Norway by Stian Larsen. It is not affiliated with Tinify B.V. or TinyPNG. By using the service you agree to these terms.
Acceptance
By accessing the web tools, creating an account, or sending requests to the API, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of service
Tinify.dev provides image tools for compression, resizing, cropping, and format conversion, available both as free web tools and as an API. The service may change over time as features are added or refined.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload or process content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to process.
- Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or abuse the service, and do not try to bypass or circumvent rate limits and quotas.
- Respect the published rate limits. Automated use must stay within the limits of your plan.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
API keys and accounts
API requests are authenticated with API keys (tnf_live_ and tnf_test_). Keep your keys secure and treat them like passwords. You are responsible for activity under your keys and account. Keys can be rotated or revoked at any time in the dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
Plans and billing
- The free tier includes 500 successful operations per month.
- Paid plans and any overage beyond the free tier are billed through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for those payments. Paddle handles payment processing and applicable taxes.
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not create a right to a retroactive refund except where required by law.

Intellectual property
You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results the service returns for them. We claim no ownership over your images or their processed output. The Tinify.dev name, site, and software remain ours.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. In particular, we do not warrant that compression will always reduce a file's size. Some inputs are already efficient, and a resize or crop can make a file larger. We report the real result, including when a file grows, because honest results matter more than a guaranteed number.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tinify.dev is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the service. The service is a tool you choose to use, and you are responsible for keeping your own copies of important files.
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, abuses the service, or puts the infrastructure at risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway (placeholder, to be confirmed by the owner). This does not remove mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
