Fixes
- Compressing dropped images now works: the background helper can read your selected files and write results beside the originals. Previous builds could fail every job with a file-access error even though the queue accepted the images.
- Command-A now selects every image in the queue. The Edit menu keeps the standard Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete commands alongside it.
- The app now repairs its background-processing registration automatically when macOS loses the helper's launch job, instead of showing "Background processing is unavailable" until a manual re-enable.
Privacy and security
- Image and file content still stays on the Mac during processing.
- The image-parsing engine continues to run in a sandboxed XPC service with no broader access than the data each job hands it.
- The background helper now runs as a notarized Developer ID helper with the signed-in user's normal file permissions, so macOS may show a one-time folder-access prompt naming TinifyAgent for protected folders such as Desktop, Documents, or Downloads.
- The app and installer remain signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and updated through a cryptographically signed Sparkle feed.
Compatibility
- Requires macOS 14 or later on an Apple silicon Mac.
- Settings, presets, automations, and linked accounts carry over; no reinstallation steps are required beyond the normal update.
Known issues
- The public Intel build is withheld until separate physical Intel and filesystem validation is complete.
- VoiceOver and full keyboard-navigation coverage for some Optimize controls is still being improved.
